Biogas must be dried because water in liquid or vapor form will cause corrosion / cavitation / Freezing in to Pipelines & Equipments where it is finally used. Also Low Dew Point is primary requirement for CBG (Compressed Bio Gas) before filling it in to cylinders. Desiccant Based Biogas Dryers must require to achieve low dew point for CBG.

Heated Biogas Dryers are Desiccant based twin tower type Biogas Dryers
with an External pre-installed Heater. Externally Heated Biogas Dryer is an
advanced & improvised version of Desiccant Based Dryer. In this type of
dryer Biogas Purge loss is very low compared to heatless dryer. In Externally
Heated Biogas Dryer Regeneration of desiccant is done through dry hot Biogas.
Using Externally Heated Biogas Dryer Very Low Dew Point can be achieved easily
with low purge loss.
